Getting Started
FaceDub is an AI-powered platform that lets you create UGC (user-generated content) style videos by combining a character photo with a reference video. The AI generates a new video featuring your character performing the same movements.
Create your account
Sign up using Google Sign-In — it takes a few seconds. Once you're logged in you'll see your dashboard where you can manage videos, credits, and billing.
Your first video
- Go to Create Video
- Upload a clear photo of your character (face visible, good lighting)
- Upload a reference video (the motion you want to replicate)
- Choose a duration (5-30 seconds) and hit Generate
- Wait 3-8 minutes while the AI processes your video
- Download your finished UGC video
Creating Videos
Photo requirements
- Clear face: The subject's face should be clearly visible and unobstructed
- Good lighting: Well-lit photos produce much better results than dark or shadowy images
- High resolution: At least 512x512 pixels recommended
- Formats: JPG, PNG, or WebP
- Single person: Photos should contain one person only
Video requirements
- Clear movements: Videos with distinct, visible body movements work best
- Good framing: The person in the video should be clearly visible
- Any format: MP4, MOV, WebM, and most common video formats are supported
- Duration: 1-30 seconds (each 5-second block costs 1 credit)
Pipeline stages
When you create a video, the AI goes through these stages:
- Character views: Generates 5 angle views of your character (front, side, back, quarter, close-up)
- Keyframe extraction: Extracts a reference frame from your video
- Scene composite: Places your character into the video scene
- Asset upload: Prepares files for video generation
- Motion control: Generates the final video with your character performing the movements
- CDN upload: Uploads the finished video for fast delivery
Tips for best results
- Use a photo with a neutral background for more accurate character generation
- Choose reference videos with a single person and clear body movements
- Avoid videos with fast camera movements or multiple scene changes
- Shorter durations (5-10s) tend to produce higher quality results
Plans & Credits
How credits work
Each video generation costs credits based on duration: 1 credit per 5 seconds (rounded up). A 10-second video costs 2 credits, a 12-second video costs 3 credits.
Available plans
- Starter ($19/mo): 10 credits per month
- Pro ($49/mo): 30 credits per month + priority queue
- Agency ($99/mo): 100 credits per month + priority queue
Important notes
- Credits reset at the start of each calendar month
- Unused credits do not roll over to the next month
- If you run out of credits, additional generations are billed as overage at your plan's per-credit rate
- If a generation fails due to a system error, your credits are automatically refunded

- Violent, gory, or graphic content
